A very cold
day and following a frost the ground was very hard, making scoring difficult.
For all that there were a few good scores returned, none more so that that by
David Blackett, who's 49 points was good enough for 1st place. Alan Nixon, on
his last official event as Captain was runner up with 47 points following a CPO
from John Ross also with 47 points. Brian Rowe was 4th with the best of a number

2010, so congratulations to Ian and hope he has a successful year. Ian Castle
will be Ian's Vice Captain.
So on to today, from a weather point of view a good start for Ian, just as he
ordered, dry, dry it was but a bit wet underfoot from the thawing frost, which
made scoring a bit harder that the previous competitions. With 46 points, new
member Chris Small took 1st place on a CPO form Derek Smith also with 46 points,
Allan Benson & Robert Waite were 3rd & 4th respectively with 45 & 44
points. 2's recorded by John Mason, Sandy Thorburn, John Ross & Graham Orange
